Night Court

All rise! Criminal court, part two, city of New York is now in session! The Honorable Harold T. Stone, presiding! The outgoing mayor, on his last day in office, filled all the judicial vacancies in New York. One of the positions fell to 34-year-old Harold T. Stone, who received the appointment because he happened to be home to answer the phone. He is assigned to preside over a Manhattan criminal night court. The court attorneys are assistant district attorney Dan Fielding and Legal Aid defense attorney Christine Sullivan, his court clerk is Vietnam veteran Mac Robinson, and the bailiffs keeping things in order (and acting as court commentators) are Bull Shannon and Roz Russell. Anything can happen in New York, and that mentality spills into the Manhattan criminal courtroom. Whether Harry is fining Wile E. Coyote for harassing the Road Runner or dealing with a person who walked in to confess to a murder, the docket is always filled with laughter at Night Court.
