Maddie (Jessica Sula) is a high school party girl who doesn't think she has a problem until she's confronted one day by her guidance counselor and is forced to choose between expulsion and a recovering facility. Maddie makes the difficult decision to live with other recovering addicts at "Recovery Road", while facing the daily pressures of her teenage life.

If those flashbacks occasionally feel too manipulative or visually overcooked, it’s because the character’s present-day interactions are so visceral and moving.
